Acta MechanicaSince 1965, the international journal Acta Mechanica has been among the leading journals for the publication of ideas and methods in the field of theoretical and applied mechanics. In addition to the classical fields such as elasticity, plasticity, vibrations, rigid body dynamics, hydrodynamics, and gasdynamics, this journal gives special attention to recently developed and related areas of mechanics. It publishes papers in such fields as rheology, thermodynamics and electromagnetic interactions with fluids and solids. In addition, problems in applied mathematics which deal with mechanics are discussed. Acta Mechanica emphasizes original analytical and experimental contributions of interest and importance to research workers and theoretical engineers. It also publishes general survey articles in which eminent scientists review the current state of their specialities or discuss possibilities for future research.
