The field has greatly expanded since the formation of the Association in the 1930's, with the result that several well-defined subfields have emerged. The Journal aims to represent the entire field of symbolic logic, including the newer aspects related to other disciplines such as computer science and linguistics. The Association for Symbolic Logic is an international organization supporting the presentation, publication, and critical discussion of scholarly work in the field of logic.
