Biology of the CellBiology of the Cell publishes articles of original research on all aspects of cellular and molecular biology and cell physiology that make a notable contribution to understanding cell and tissue structure and function. Studies that use an integrated approach (from genomics to ultrastructure) to cell function, development and genetics as well as the characterisation of supra-macromolecular complexes and nanomachines are of particular interest. We also welcome manuscripts on cellular aspects of animal and plant development, neurobiology, immunology, plant biology, microbiology and protistology.
