Workshop #2: Alternative Energy
Workshop Group Picture
Date: Saturday, December 1, 2007; 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Location: Southern California Edison, Rosemead
Objective: We investigated different types of energy, with a focus on renewable energy types (wind, solar heating, solar voltaic, and biofuels). Participants took home a watt-meter (measures amount of electrical consumption of each appliance), home-made and commercial solar ovens, windmill, anemometer, and a Hero's Engine.
