Beijing Bound for Gold
Four years after they won silver medals at the 2004 Games in Athens, three USC alums will go for gold next month in Beijing. Track and field phenom Allyson Felix '08 will race in the women's 200-meter dash, while swimmers Larsen Jensen '07 and Erik Vendt '05 hit the pool in the men's 1500-meter freestyle and 4 X 200-meter free relay, respectively.
Katherine Bogdanovich Loker '40 — philanthropist, USC trustee and 1995 recipient of the Asa V. Call Achievement Award, the alumni association's highest honor — passed away at age 92 on June 26 following a stroke.
USC Catholic Center to Break Ground on New Church
This coming December, the center will begin building its new Our Savior Catholic Church and USC Caruso Catholic Center. In addition to welcoming alumni volunteers, the center presently seeks to hire a Catholic Trojan alum to work in annual fundraising.
