Sixty-three percent of graduate and professional school students at USC receive some form of financial aid. This section of our website contains key information to help clarify and explain the financial aid application process for graduate and professional new students and continuing students.
In addition to need-based aid—federal low-interest loans and Federal Work-Study—your prime source of support is likely to be your academic department or professional school. Together with The Graduate School, USC departments and schools award a long list of grants and graduate fellowships and assistantships. Sponsoring agency awards and scholarships from sources outside the university are also significant sources of support.
Students in USC doctoral programs receive extensive financial support that enables them to devote full attention to their Ph.D. studies.
