The USC Annual Fund

Donors to the USC Annual Fund provide support in two essential ways. First, participation by alumni elevates USC’s national status, and second, donations from all participants — parents and friends as well as alumni — help maintain the high quality of education on campus.

Alumni Participation — Trojan Pride

Alumni participation is a key factor in the ranking of universities by influential media such as U.S. News and World Report, and it creates an upward spiral. Potential students, faculty, and major donors who are considering USC view alumni participation as a bellwether of satisfaction. They are inspired by happy alumni to join the Trojan Family, and the infusion of new talent and capacity advances USC, giving alumni even more reason to be proud. And there are many reasons to be proud. The signs of progress are widespread: From Nobel prize-winning faculty, to recognition from the Association of American Colleges and Universities, to receiving nine applications for every one freshman opening, USC is firmly established as one of America’s best universities.

If you are a USC graduate, please think back on the memorable experiences you had at USC. Think about the lifelong friends you made here and the outstanding education you received. By participating in the Annual Fund with a gift of any amount, you provide a special kind of endorsement that can only come from alumni.

Donations Sustain Quality Education

USC’s main sources of income — tuition and interest on endowment — are not enough to cover the cost of a USC education. Support from alumni, parents, and friends helps the university meet crucial needs for essentials such as financial aid and research equipment. Gifts to the USC Annual Fund may be unrestricted, or they may be designated to a particular program or purpose.
