Bio
Dr. Chen is a Southern California native who received his BS from California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California. He then attended the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, and later completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center.
In 2004 Dr. Chen joined the Division of Geriatric and General Internal Medicine as a Geriatrician, Internist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. In addition to treating patients in the University private practice settings of the Healthcare Consultation Center II and University Hospital, he continues to participate in the care of the uninsured at the LAC+USC Medical Center in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Through these activities he participates in the crucial role of teaching medical students, interns and residents who are learning the practice of medicine. Furthermore, he is the Director of the USC Home Visit program. This is a vital program for homebound seniors that allow them to receive specialized geriatric care in the comfort of their own home. Dr. Chen is also a speaker for the Alzheimer's Association, and enjoys his role in increasing community awareness about the identification and treatment of dementia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
