If you are going to have surgery at USC University Hospital or the Kenneth Norris Cancer Hosptial you may be able to donate blood for your own use.
This is called an autologous donation.
Your doctor will have to make a request for your blood donation on a special form which is available through the Center.
You must not have an infection or be taking antibiotics.You must also be free of medical conditions which would make blood donation a risk to your health.
