Walter Prue joined USC's Information Sciences Institute (ISI) in Marina del Rey in 1987. Working for Jon Postel in ISI's computer networking group, Prue served as the network engineer during the creation of Los Nettos, a regional Internet service provider in the greater Los Angeles area. He also collaborated with Postel in the publication of two Requests for Comments, part of a document series of technical and organizational notes about the Internet that discuss many aspects of computer networking, including protocols, procedures, programs and concepts. In 2003, Prue left ISI to join USC's Information Services, where he is the senior Internet engineer for Los Nettos.
