One day, during summer vacation, Lucy was walking on the beach. She looked up at a tall, skinny tree and something fell to the ground. She ran over to it and picked it up. It was the size of her head. It was very hard and scratchy. It was kind of hairy! She smelled it. She poked the little holes at the end. Lucy shook it. She heard something inside. She went back to her mother who was sitting under her umbrella reading a book. "Mom, Mom! Look what I found!"
