Yesterday morning Ida Moore, age 3, gave birth to her twin sister at Daniel Freeman Hospital in Venice, CA. Ms. Moore had visited the Scottish Institute of Reproduction for several months in the summer of 1996.

Ms. Moore is suffering from a rare type of leukemia that requires a bone marrow transplant from an identical twin. Doctors are optimistic that the often-performed transplant procedure will be successful when the baby is three months old.
