National Advisory Panel
In 1993, the Department of Dental Hygiene at Thomas Jefferson University received a three-year grant from the Bureau of Health Professions, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to develop, implement and evaluate a National Center for Dental Hygiene Research, the model of which can be used as a prototype for other health disciplines. The grant, titled "A Model to Link Dental Hygiene Practice and Education through a Collaborative Research Center," is based on a collaborative research model that links dental hygiene researchers, clinicians and educators in order to expand and strengthen the research base for oral health care.
The following individuals serve on the National Advisory Panel for the project, advising the project team. Some members of the Advisory Panel also serve as mentors to collaborative research teams.
