What is DHChat?
DHChat is a an electronic discussion group for research issues in dental hygiene. Topical discussions are led by specialists, and other contributions are encouraged.
DHChat operates using ListSTAR at oac2.oac.tju.edu, located at the Office of Academic Computing at Thomas Jefferson University.
Subscribing to DHChat
To join DHChat, you must have an e-mail account. Send a message to the host computer (dhchat-request@oac2.oac.tju.edu) asking to subscribe to the list:

You will automatically receive all messages sent to DHChat.
To send a message to DHChat, address it to:
Leaving DHChat
When you want to sign off or leave DHChat, simply follow the instructions above for joining, but in Subject: section of your e-mail, write unsubscribe.
Other Listserv Commands
There are some commands you can send to DHChat if you would like some information. These commands can be received via e-mail by sending a message to dhchat-request@oac2.oac.tju.edu and typing help in the Subject: section.
DHChat understands the following commands sent to dhchat-request@oac2.oac.tju.edu:
subscribe digest
digests
unsubscribe
help
Make sure your commands are typed in the Subject: section of your e-mail; commands in the BODY section line will not be accepted.
When you are successful, you should receive some messages back from DHChat (sometimes within minutes) giving you information about your subscription. If you have never subscribed to a "listserv" before, look at a sample message to see what you should expect.

Because you receive all messages sent to the discussion group, you will also receive a copy of all messages you send to DHChat. When replying to a message, the reply goes to dhchat@oac2.oac.tju.edu, not to the original sender.

Send these commands in the Subject: section of an e-mail message to dhchat-request@oac2.oac.tju.edu.
Your address will be added to the list of subscribers. You
will then be able to send messages to this list that will
be forwarded to all other list subscribers.
Your address will be added to the list of subscribers who receive
a digest instead of each forwarded message. You will be able to
send messages to this list, and will receive a digest of accumulated
messages once a day.
A list of available digests will be returned to you.
Your address will be removed from the list of subscribers.
You will no longer be able to send messages to the members
of the list.
