Information for Foreign Students
Foreign students, those who are not citizens
or permanent residents of the United States, are not eligible for
federal student aid. However, there are educational loans that you
and a qualified co-signer, if applicable, may utilize to help defray
your educational expenses. The following table identifies a few of
those loan programs:

| Description: |
- A cosigned loan for foreign students enrolled in a dental program.

- An non-cosigned loan for Canadian residents enrolled in U.S. dental program.

| Eligibility: |
- Cosigner must be credit-worthy U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
|
- Student and/or cosigner must be credit-worthy Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
|
| Annual Loan Limit: |
- Students may borrow up to the estimated cost of education.
|
- Without a cosigner, there is a $18,500 annual maximum.
- With a cosigner, the maximum is the estimated cost of attendance.

| Interest Rates: |
- Prime rate minus 0.75% while in school.
- Prime rate minus 0.25% while in repayment.
- Rate adjusted quarterly.

- Prime rate minus .50%
- Rate adjusted monthly.
|
| Loan Fees: |
- 5% fee will be added to the balance at repayment.
|
- Without a cosigner, a 9% fee will be deducted at disbursement and a 2% fee will be added at repayment.
- With a cosigner, a 6% fee will be deducted at disbursement.

- Repayment begins 6 months after graduation or falling below half-time.
