Britannica Online
Consists of a fully searchable and browsable collection of authoritative references, including Britannica's latest article database, hundreds of articles not found in the print Britannica, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (Tenth Edition), the Britannica Book of the Year, and thousands of links to other World Wide Web sites selected by Britannica editors. For more than 200 years EncyclopÊdia Britannica has been the leader in reference publishing. As an online service, Britannica Online is continuously being updated and enhanced. New articles, revisions, and related Internet sites continue to be added on a daily basis.
Search tips: Britannica Online allows you to use Natural-Language Searches, in which you may enter a word, phrase, or question in plain English without having to learn any advanced search techniques. Britannica Online also supports Boolean Searches, in which you can use the Boolean operators AND, OR, NOT, and ADJ, plus other options.
