MD Consult
MD Consult provides access to full-text journals, books, patient education material, drug information, and practice guidelines with one-stop searching. In addition, sections such as "What Patients are Reading" and "In This Week's Journals" highlight current trends and news items. CME modules are also available.

Although MD Consult is a useful place to find some information quickly, it should not be used for comprehensive research. Full-text information is limited. More comprehensive full-text resources include Ovid Medline which links to over 650 full-text journals (MD Consult Medline links to just over 50), Books at Ovid with over 50 titles, and Stat!Ref which contains over 30 titles (MD Consult has 35 book titles).

This version of MD Consult is sponsored by Merck, which provides full access to the database. Norris Medical Library has no control over the continuation of free access to MD Consult.

Special instructions: MD Consult is offered through MerckMedicus, which requires registration. Users must provide a valid health practitioner license number to qualify for MD Consult access. Health sciences students should use their social security number.
