Downloading from Ovid Online into
Bibliographic Management Software

Perform your search and select the records you want to download.
Go to the Citation Manager at the bottom of the page.
In each column the following should be selected:

usually Selected (all pages) |
| Fields : |
usually Complete Reference |
| Format : |
Reprint/Medlars |
| Save Format : |
ASCII Text (DOS/Windows) |
| Action : |
Click on Save |
Select the location and name the file in the Save As...
dialog box that appears. Generally you want to save it as a text
file (with the .txt extension).
Import the resulting text file into your bibliographic management
software as usual.
In Reference Manager (Version 8) use the capture definition OVID
ONLINE (REPRINT) [FJ]
In EndNote Plus (Version 2.3), use the import option MEDLINOV.ENF
In EndNote (Version 3.0), use the import option MEDLINOV.ENF

Go to the Citation Manager at the bottom of the page.

Click on Display |
Wait for the entire display to be completed.
Go to the File menu.
Select Save As...
Select the location and name the file.
Make sure you save it as TEXT (not source).
In Reference Manager (Version 2.51), use the database service OVID
ONLINE (REPRINT) [FJ]
In Endnote (Version 2.2), use the import option Medline (Ovid)
or CINAHL (Ovid), etc.
