As a primary portal of entry, the mouth affords abundant opportunity for diagnosing local and systemic diseases and disorders, and evaluating the efficacy of treatments. At the Center for Oral Diagnostic Sciences, faculty doctors provide diagnostic tests and appropriate care for orofacial pain, headaches, bad breath, dry mouth, oral cancer, and other mucosal and chemosensory-related conditions. Researchers at this center collaborate with clinicians and researchers in dermatology, rheumatology, psychology, pediatrics and physical, internal and geriatric medicine to promote innovations, discovery and improved health.
