Center for Orofacial Pain & Oral Medicine
The etiology of orofacial pain can be traced to a number of both soft and hard oral tissue diseases. Practitioners at the Center for Orofacial Pain &Oral Medicine Provide Comprehensive treatment programs for patients with such disorders as cancer, ulcers, infections or abnormal growths, temporomandibular (TMJ) , headaches, jaw function problems and sleep disordered breathing problems. Additionally, our practitioners provide therapy for burning and dryness of the mouth, myofacial and neurogenic pain, bruxism, and orofacial spontaneous movement disorders. Research at this center involves various levels of biological organization, from the molecular and subcellular to the organismic.
