CONGRATULATIONS Judith Walter was recognized by the Good Neighbors Campaign leadership for having “committment to GNC that knows no bounds.” In a letter to campaign participants, Carolyn Webb de Macias, USC vice-president of external relations, cited Walter’s commitment and diligence even after she was hospitalized with pneumonia! Glenda Franco, administrative assistant in the advanced orthodontic clinic, was selected as the School of Dentistry’s first-ever employee of the month. “Glenda is always positive, cheerful and patient. She goes out of her way to help everyone, no matter how busy she is,” wrote clinic director Glenn Sameshima in his nomination letter.   Congratulations to long-time staff member Truzane Styles who was promoted from central service technician to materials handling supervisor. Styles will manage the daily operations of the Instrument Management System (IMS).   Congratulations to Helen Gonzales who accepted a promotion to administrative assistant II in academic affairs and student life. Gonzales, who has been a member of the School of Dentistry staff since 1991, previously worked in an administrative capacity for oral surgery.
