Ross C. Huntley died November 1, 2006 at the age of 83. Huntley, a native of Grand Junction, Colorado, was a Navy lieutenant and graduated from USCSD in 1945. He joined the faculty within the following year and during his tenure as a member of the operative faculty, he developed visual aids and co-produced an instructional movie on gold foil procedures.

Huntley practiced for 52 years and was an active member of the dental community.  He served as president of the Century Club in 1971-72.  He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; children H. Kim Huntley and wife Marianne, Nancy Huntley Nickel and husband Mark, R. Cameron Huntley and his wife Valerey, and Susan Huntley Levy and husband Chad; and six grandchildren.
