The Office of Continuing Oral Health Professional Education has recently announced a new scholarship program supporting research at the School of Dentistry.  Ilan Rotstein, associate dean for continuing oral health education, says the scholarship offering was made in response to conversations with students, residents and faculty regarding the need for additional support of young investigators.

The scholarship program will provide a total of $10,000 annually for research proposals from students, residents, faculty and young investigators.  The scholarship will be used as seed funds to explore ideas, collect initial data or conduct pilot studies with the hope that promising research will later secure long-term support from external sources.
