Students from East Los Angeles' Roosevelt High School took part in Dental Detectives--an initiative from the office of community health programs to introduce the profession to underrepresented minority students.

During their day-long visit the youngsters learned how to conduct an oral examination, heard from dental students about the profession, toured the school and received a special visit from Dean Slavkin--who also hails from East Los Angeles.
