The office of clinical affairs has recently posted the doctoral dental program clinical competencies to the Web. The document describes the school's 25 competencies in general professionalism, practice management and patient care. In addition, the specific requirements and assessment tools for the doctoral dental classes of 2007 and 2008 have been added. These two documents describe the criteria and method for evaluating program content, student ability and skills acquisition, and competency. They will be used by the office of academic affairs to determine readiness for graduation.
