INTEGRATING EBDM INTO EDUCATION & PRACTICE


The use of current best evidence does not replace clinical skills, judgment or previous experience, but rather provides another dimension to the decision-making process. It is this decision-making process that is termed Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM).

This section provides you with the resources to incorporate and teach EBDM so that scientific evidence is considered by the practitioner in the context of an individual patient's circumstances when it is appropriate, thus broadening the scope of experience and judgment.
