If you are still trying to find a way to make good on your New Year’s resolution to lose weight, try eating more fruit and less meat, says registered dietician Jaimie Davis, Ph.D., research associate with the Institute for Prevention Research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. According to Davis, fiber from the fruit fills you up and the natural sweetness of fruit may satisfy a sweet tooth that would ordinarily be craving a doughnut.
