SPECIAL FEATURES IN OVID

Ask-A-Librarian

Use the Ask-a-Librarian link at the top of each search page to request individualized help with your search. Fill in the help request form, click SUBMIT, and your message is sent to a librarian. You can choose to have your search strategy included with your message. You will receive an email response within 48 hours.

This feature can also be used to initiate an AutoAlert as described below.

Current Research Alerts

Current Research Alerts keep you abreast of journal articles published in your area of interest. To set up Current Research Alerts, you develop a database search strategy and a librarian uses it to establish your profile. You are then sent email messages containing citations to journal articles generated by that search strategy each time the database is updated.

To request Current Research Alerts or help in developing a search strategy, complete the request form or contact the reference office at (323) 442-1483.
