I didn't get my printout. Instead, I got
the message "Data Missing."
You didn't wait for the document to fully load before pressing the
Print button on your browser.
I wanted to print the citations
I selected in full format. All I got were
the titles of articles, some I hadn't even selected.
You didn't select Print Preview from the
Citation Manager before you printed. Remember, in Ovid you are using
your browser to print; you have to display your retrieval in the proper
format on the screen before printing.
I can't get the graphics to scale properly
using the Mac in my office.
It works on my PC at home.
When using a Macintosh computer, select "Medium" instead
of "Full" in the Graphics Options of the Full-Text Manager
located at the bottom of the Full-Text screen.
I didn't get the subheading page even though
I mapped to Medical
Subject Headings, (MeSH).
You selected more than one MeSH at a time. To see the subheading page
you have to either select or explode a single MeSH. If you select two
or more, the system assigns all subheadings to all MeSH terms.
I received a message saying "Database
Licensing Exceeded" when I
tried to open a database for searching.
The library licenses a limited number of
access slots for concurrent use of the system. If a searcher attempts
to log in to Ovid at a time when all of the library's Ovid user slots
are in use, the system displays this message. If this happens, try again
a few minutes later. Note: This also applies to full-text journals.
I received a message saying "Idle
Time Exceeded" and the system
dropped my search session.
To preserve the availability of a sufficient
number of license slots, sessions are automatically dropped after 15
minutes of inactivity. When your session times out, press the Start
Ovid button and repeat the search. Search strategies and results are
not saved when the session is dropped.
