“Dr. McKibben was a learned professor of anatomy whom I knew and admired when I was a medical student. He was Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Southern California from 1931 to 1941. Dr. Howard House, the renowned otologist, provided me with photographs of Dr. McKibben. Eventually I was fortunate to communicate with Mrs. McKibben who provided me with many additional excellent photographs of Dean McKibben and I was then able to complete my work on this portrait bust.”
