Computer Classroom Use Policies

Reservations are required and should be made by calling the Technology Support Center at (323) 442-1968 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Food and drinks are NOT permitted.

Instructors should discuss software and hardware needs with library computer consultants when making the reservation. After receving permission from the library consultants, the department teaching the class will need to install any required software that is not already available on the classroom computers. Instructors who have not used the classroom previously are encouraged to visit the classroom prior to the scheduled session to become familiar with operating the equipment. The computers in the classroom are re-imaged on a regular basis so software previously installed may not be available the next time that class is taught. Equipment used by meeting organizers is examined before and after use. Please notify the Technology Support Center of any equipment problems. The library reserves the right to charge a department for necessary cleaning or repair fees.

Instructors should ensure that the classroom is vacated promptly, so that the next group can begin their session as scheduled.

The library reserves the right to deny requests for the use of the room and to reschedule or cancel reservations up to 3 days prior to the event.

USC programs that charge for attendance or are grant-related, as well as groups that are not directly affiliated with USC, are charged a fee for the use of the room.
