Conference Room Use Policies

Reservations are required and should be made by contacting the Technology Support Center at (323) 442-1968 or,  Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The group reserving the room should check out the key to the room from the library loan desk prior to the meeting using a valid library card. At the end of the meeting, the group is responsible for leaving the room in an orderly condition, turning off the lights, and locking the door.

Food is permitted, but the group must make all arrangements. Catering Services are offered by the USC Health Sciences Campus Plaza Market Place at (323) 442-1582

There is a $25 fee when food and/or beverages are provided during the meeting.  Brown bag lunches are permitted without a fee.  However, in either case, when food is consumed, the organizer of the meeting is responsible for clean up of the meeting room.  Clean-up includes food removal, wiping up spills and clearing and removing all trash.

If there is food or drink spillage after your meeting or if food is left in the conference room, there will be an additional cleaning fee up to $250.00.

Regularly scheduled meetings are discouraged and are subject to "bumping" by higher priority groups. The conference room is not available for semester-long courses, student study groups, non-USC clubs, social organizations, or political groups.

Multimedia equipment needs should be specified when reservations are made. The Technology Support Center staff provide help Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, at (323) 442-1968

Please report any equipment problems to the Technology Support Center before leaving the library. Repair fees are assessed when applicable.

Groups may rearrange chairs and tables for meetings. They must return the room to its original arrangement. If the room is not in its original configuration, there will be an additional $50.00 fee.

The library reserves the right to cancel reservations for groups that do not observe the policies stated above. A $100 cleaning fee is assessed when applicable.

The library reserves the right to deny requests for use of the room and to reschedule or cancel room reservations up to 3 days prior to the event.

USC programs that charge a fee to attendees, are grant-related, or are groups that are not directly affiliated with USC will be charged a fee for the use of the Conference Rooms.
