Bioinformatics Support Requests for USC Faculty, Students, and Researchers Access Policy The NML Bioinformatics Support Program strives to assist USC Faculty, Researchers and Students with research and teaching activities that involve Bioinformatics databases and software tools. In addition to regularly offered workshops, the library offers the following customized support to accomodate the information needs of its users. Email updates on Online Bioinformatics Resources This alerting service provides subscribers with email-based updates on the very latest bioinformatics databases and software tools, as well as key literature relevant to the subscribers' specific research projects. Users may also request a list of existing online bioinformatics resources specific to their current research activities.
NML users may request consultations on questions or tasks involving the use of bioinformatics databases and software tools. Once your request is received, the bioinformatics specialist will contact you to discuss your information needs and schedule the consultation.
NML users may arrange to have customized bioinformatics workshops for three or more attendees taught either in the library Computer Lab or in the user's HSC location. Once your request is received, the bioinformatics specialist will contact you to discuss the group's instructional needs and schedule the workshop.
