Bioinformatics Service Electronic List FAQs

What is it?

The Norris Medical Library Bioinformatics Service Electronic List (NML-Bioinformatic-L) is an electronic mailing list established solely for the purpose of disseminating information related to the library's bioinformatics support program.

What types of information will be distributed via the list?

  • News and updates about the NML bioinformatics support program
  • Announcements of upcoming NML bioinformatics workshops
  • Other relevant bioinformatics-related information

How frequently will a subscriber receive emails from this list?

We expect to use this mailing list an average of once a week or less. We have taken measures to prevent inconvenience to the list subscribers caused by excessive emails. Only the authorized librarians in Norris Medical Library are able to send emails to the list.

How do I subscribe to the list?

From the email account from which you wish to subscribe to the list, send an email to listproc@usc.edu with an empty subject line and the following line in the email message body:

SUB NML-Bioinformatics-L yourfirstname yourlastname

How can I unsubscribe from the list?

Send an email to listproc@usc.edu with an empty subject line and the following line in the email message body:

UNSUBSCRIBE NML-Bioinformatics-L yourfirstname yourlastname
