DocRetriever

DocRetriever is the electronic delivery service used to process requests for copies of journal articles from the Norris Medical Library or other libraries, and books not owned by the Norris Library. Submit your requests via online DocRetriever forms on the library web site. We deliver PDF articles to your DocRetriever account unless you prefer campus mail, U.S. mail, or fax delivery (fax= additional $.50/page with $2.00 minimum). In the case of books, you are notified by email when items are available for pickup in the library.

Note: USC University Park faculty, staff, & students should register for USC Libraries' Integrated Document Delivery (IDD) service instead of DocRetriever.

Payment may be made by cash, check, or USC internal requisition.

Charges cannot be cancelled once processing has begun.

Fee Information

Copies of journal articles from the Norris Library and the Wilson Dental, LAC+USC Medical Center, and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Libraries are generally provided within 2 days. Journal articles and books obtained from other libraries are usually available within 5 days, but can take up to 10 days to deliver. Books are not renewable.

RUSH Fee Information

Journals held by the USC Health Sciences Libraries: $5.00 Norris Library surcharge per request

Journals held by other libraries: Lending library fee (variable) AND $5.00 Norris Library surcharge per request
