TERMS OF USE

Thank you for visiting the USC Graphic Identity Program Web site ("GIP Web Site" or “Site”). The GIP Web Site contains various symbols, designs, logos and marks used to identify and distinguish USC. The names, symbols, designs, logos and other identifying marks available at this Site ("USC Marks") are trademarks and/or service marks of USC registered in the United States and other countries, and are the exclusive property of USC. Access to USC Marks through this Site is subject to the following Terms of Use ("Terms"). Before you may access this Site you must first read and then agree to the Terms by clicking the "I ACCEPT" box below. If you do not agree to the Terms, please click the "I DECLINE" box, which will automatically return you to the USC Graphic Identity Program homepage.

TERMS:

  1. I acknowledge that the USC Marks and the goodwill arising from the use of them are and will remain the sole and exclusive property of USC, and that any use of the USC Marks without USC's express written authorization is prohibited.
  2. I will not use or cause others to use any of the USC Marks for any purpose except as may be authorized by USC (a) in connection with products or services provided by USC, or (b) under a separate written license agreement executed by a duly authorized representative of USC, the terms of which govern my use of the USC Marks.
  3. I will comply with all applicable USC directives, policies and guidelines concerning standards for use of USC Marks (available online at http://www.usc.edu/identity/).
  4. I will not alter, modify or otherwise change the content or appearance of any of the USC Marks, without the prior written approval of USC.
  5. I will not take any action that in any way could diminish the value of the USC Marks, adversely affect USC's rights in the USC Marks, or harm USC's reputation or goodwill.
  6. I will not register or attempt to register any mark that incorporates all or any part of the USC Marks or that is confusingly similar to the USC Marks.
  7. I acknowledge that I have no ownership rights or interests in any of the USC Marks and that all goodwill associated with the permitted use of the USC Marks will inure to the benefit of USC.
  8. I understand that the GIP Web Site and its content is available "as is" and for informational purposes only. USC does not warrant that this Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions found at this Site.
  9. These Terms are, and any claim or dispute relating to them will be, governed by the laws of the State of California applicable to contracts made and performed there without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
