A coordinated system of university stationery is important to the image of the University of Southern California and to the dignity of communications from university staff and faculty. University Letterhead is distinguished by the USC watermark, the use of official USC fonts and colors and a specific layout for the left column of each page .  University business cards are designed to coordinate with the University Letterhead.

University business should be conducted on official University Letterhead. Individual schools or departments may not create their own stationery or business cards apart from the university system. 

It still is very difficult, if not impossible, to reproduce university letterhead that meets USC's exact standards by using a desktop computer and printer. Therefore, if you need to use official university letterhead, you must use printed stationery.
