Soccer team wins national title
The No. 7 women’s soccer team defeated No. 1 West Virginia to capture the program’s second-ever NCAA title. It is USC’s 126th national championship.

It’s the first time in Pasadena for both teams since they faced off in the 2009 Rose Bowl. The Trojans were picked to represent the Pac-12 in the Rose Bowl after conference champ Washington made the College Football Playoff, and South Division champ Colorado fell to No. 10 — one spot behind USC.
