November 15, 2004 - Microsoft Outlook HTML/attachment Email Issue: After a recent upgrade to our email system, some users have noticed a problem with replies to their messages. If you send out an HTML-enabled message with an attachment and someone replies to you using USC Web Mail at https://email.usc.edu, you will not see the replied message using Outlook.
Temporary Solution: please send only plain-text (non-formatted) emails in Outlook for the time being. ITS is working with Microsoft system group to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Microsoft's Outlook programs allow users to maintain their e-mail accounts using a simple graphical interface, similar to that of Eudora or Netscape Messenger. Outlook is itself is a part of the Microsoft Office program suite.
Instructions here detail configuring installations of Outlook configured to check Internet e-mail accounts (not Exchange accounts) with IMAP.
