Stopping SPSS Operations Before They're Finished
Stopping SPSS Operations Before They're Finished
Sometimes a submitted program (task) takes longer than you
expected, or gets into a loop and it becomes obvious that it will
never finish. You can usually stop SPSS operations in "mid-
stream", so to speak, without killing the whole SPSS process
(session) and starting over. To stop an SPSS operation before
its normal termination, type ^C (that's Control-C). (You may
need to repeat the ^C more than once.) The operation should
break, and the cursor should return to the Manager, ready for you
to continue your session.
