USC at SURAgrid AuthN/AuthZ Meeting in Atlanta, GA

The AuthX group of USC ISD participated in a meeting of SURAgrid
principals in Atlanta, GA, to discuss lessons learned and future
effort in the area of online authentication and authorization,
looking back at experience gained in the NMI Testbed and forward
to proposed handling of authN/authZ issues in the now-forming
SURAgrid, a follow-on to the NMI Testbed that will build a persistent
general-purpose grid from resources donated by members and
investigate questions of cooperative security, account administration,
local control of resources in a grid environment, and more.
