SANDS (Storage Application and Networked Data Services) is a collection of services available for purchase from ITS bringing greater reliability to data storage, file sharing and application deployment across the USC network. The SANDS environment makes it possible for single users or small workgroups to gain all the advantages of using a file server (such as access to a large software library, significant storage space, and automatic backups) without incurring the high cost of purchasing and maintaining server-rated equipment.
To request a SANDS account, please fill out a SANDS Application. For your convenience ITS has compiled an online SANDS Pricing Guide as well as the Hardware Requirements necessary to meet SANDS guidelines.
To make any changes to an existing SANDS account you need to fill out a SANDS Account Change Form.
To assign a new machine to an existing SANDS account, fill out an IP Change Application.
To request a restoral of a lost file please fill out a Restoral Application.
