Information for CRSP Users

CRSP data files and programs that access them are supported by the USC Marshall School of Business. The current access method for CRSP files and information is through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania:

wrds.wharton.upenn.edu/connect

This connection is IP-authenticated. No password is needed for access, but you must be connecting from a USC computer or a USC PPP or other similar connection that gives you an IP number that begins with 128.125.

People who access the CRSP data files may do so through UNIX, using a SAS program written by a Business School Computer Support Person. This CRSP-Access SAS program is intended for individual modification and customization.

Consulting and other assistance with the CRSP files is provided at the Business School's Keck Management Science Computer Center, located in BRI 201. The Keck Center telephone number is 213/740-7155.
