1990 PUMS Data on the RCF

The Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) for the 1990 Census for the entire nation are stored in ITS's ~datastor RCF account. The files include both the 1% and 5% samples.

The directories shown above contain sample programs for reading the PUMS files. In addition, ITS provides two specialized programs:
• Sample SAS Program to Read 1990 California PUMS (census90.pumsa.ca)

• SAS Program to Read and Combine 1990 PUMS Data from All 50 States

1980 PUMS Data on the RCF

The Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) for the 1980 Census for the entire nation are stored in ITS's ~datastor account. The files include only the 5% samples. They are assigned to ICPSR study number 8101.
