One important requirement is that SAS Service Pack 4 (SP4) must be applied to the existing SAS 9.1.3 installation.

From our reading of the SAS Web site (see link below), this apparently means that SAS is supported under the 32-bit versions of Vista Business, Vista Enterprise and Vista Ultimate. There are some other compatibility issues and limitations, in particular the fact that SAS is not supported under Windows Vista Home edition.
