SPSS Macros

A Senior Support Statistician at SPSS has provided a number of macros to do things not otherwise done in SPSS software. These are available here as follows:
• ANCOVA-related Macros (click to see the ancova.readme file for more information and a list of the variations)
  Macros in this series give adjusted means and post-hoc tests for ANCOVA models with a single factor. There are four variations included here (total of 8 files), providing LSD, Bonferroni, Dunn-Sidak and Scheffe post-hoc tests.

One set (the "Full Macro" column) gives confidence intervals for adjusted means and adjusted confidence intervals for differences among all pairs of adjusted means. These require release 6.0 and above, including the MATRIX procedure. Abbreviated versions (the "Abbreviated Macro" column) require only the MATRIX and MACRO facilities, but do not provide confidence intervals.

• CIPROP.SPS Confidence Interval Macro (click to see the ciprop.readme file for more information)
  Gives large sample normal theory 95% confidence interval for a proportion. Will run on any system with the MACRO facility.

• HL.SPS Goodness of Fit macro (click to see the hl.readme file for more information)
  Gives the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness of fit test for a binary logistic regression model on case by case data. Requires MACRO and MATRIX.

• Intraclass Correlations Macros (click to see the iccsf.readme file for more information and an explanation of the variations)
  Macros in this group give intraclass correlations for reliability of a single rater, mean of raters and test of null population values for all three models discussed by Shrout and Fleiss.

This series has two sets of macros: one set requires release 6.0 or above with MACRO and MATRIX, also produces confidence intervals and in some cases other statistics. Abbreviated versions produce only values and test statistic, but require only MACRO and MATRIX.

• MH.SPS Mantel-Haenszel Test Macro (click to see the mh.readme file for more information)
  Gives estimate of common odds ratio for a 2x2xK table and Mantel-Haenszel test for value of 1 for this value. Requires only MACRO facility. The article mh22k.txt in the articles directory gives a discussion and example of usage. The article appeared in Keywords 54.

• Repeated Measures Post-Hoc Macros (click to see the rmpost.readme file for more information and an explanation of the variations)
  Macros in this series give post-hoc tests for a one way repeated measures or within subjects analysis of variance model.

The series consists of two sets of macros: one set requires release 6.0 or above with MACRO and MATRIX and produces confidence intervals for mean differences. Abbreviated versions produce only tests. Six macros in total: two each for LSD, Bonferroni and Dunn-Sidak versions of pairwise comparisons.

• ZTEST.SPS Independent Proportions Macro (click to see the ztest.readme file for more information)
  Gives the large sample normal theory test of equality of two independent proportions, along with 95% confidence interval on difference in proportions. Requires only MACRO facility.
