Apple Mail

Apple Mail is the default email client that is distributed with version 10 (and above) of the Macintosh operating system software. Although it does not have the functionality of programs such as Entourage, Apple Mail provides all the functionality necessary to check your email.

Apple Mail allows for both IMAP and POP connections. The instructions provided here detail using Mail with an account set for IMAP.
