ListProc Overview

ListProc is software for the management of electronic mailing lists.

With ListProc, a list is controlled by various commands sent via email. The address of USC's ListProc server is listproc@usc.edu. This is not the address to use to post mail or ask questions. This is the address to use when sending Listproc requests (commands) such as subscribe, unsubscribe, help, or configuration.

NOTE: All commands to listproc@usc.edu must be sent in plain text. Commands sent in HTML format will be rejected by the sever.

ListProc at USC is managed via listmgr@usc.edu.

Please be aware that, as of Spring 2011, ListProc is being phased out. No new lists should be created using this method.
