Configuring Your Palm's VersaMail to Receive Your USC Email
The ITS Customer Support Center does not currently support mobile devices. The following documentation is provided as a courtesy to USC faculty, staff, and students who wish to use their media-capable mobile phones to connect to the USC wireless network or to access their USC email using the services of another wireless provider.
For additional information about using Palm's VersaMail, please consult the Palm VersaMail documentation on the Palm website.
To access your USC email with Palm's VersaMail program, please access the VersaMail Setup Guide from the Palm VersaMail Support page. When prompted for information, please use the following information:
Account Name: Enter USC Email
Mail Service: Select Other
Protocol: Select IMAP
Username: Enter the first part of your USC email address (for example: ttrojan in ttrojan@usc.edu).
Password: Enter the password you use for your USC email account.
Email Address: Enter your complete USC email address (for example, ttrojan@usc.edu).
Incoming Mail Server: Enter email.usc.edu
Outgoing Mail Server: Enter email.usc.edu
Advanced Options: Enter Port 465 and select use SSL. Note: When selecting SSL in the options, the port number will change to 995. Please change this back to 465.
