VPN on Mobile Devices

VPN, also called IP tunneling, is a secure method of accessing USC computer resources. The VPN encrypts all traffic to and from a mobile device in order to prevent others from viewing the information. The VPN also provides the user with a virtual USC IP address that allows access to USC resources that restrict access to such addresses. The USC VPN access is available only to members of the USC community with a USC login.

Although the ITS Customer Support Center does not currently provide support for mobile devices this information is provided as a courtesy to users who wish to use VPN on their mobile device to make a secure connection to the USC Network.
